What Happens After You Request a Rental
Hit “Reserve” and wondering what comes next? Here's a step-by-step look at how Ullor processes your request, when the host will respond, and how to get ready for your trip once it's approved.
1. Authorization only, no immediate charge
When you submit a request we place an authorization on your saved payment method. You are not charged until the host accepts. If the host declines or the request times out, the hold disappears automatically.
2. Host review and response window
Hosts typically reply within a few hours. We nudge them at the 12-hour mark and cancel the request if there's no response after 24 hours. You'll get push and email notifications as soon as the host makes a decision.
3. Chat to confirm trip details
Once accepted, a chat thread opens automatically. Use it to confirm pickup time, exchange meet-up locations, and share any rider preferences such as bindings or helmet size. Keeping the conversation in Ullor protects both you and the host.
4. Track your reservation timeline
Your reservation dashboard shows important milestones: balance due, cancellation deadlines, and pickup reminders. We send automatic notifications 48 and 12 hours before the start of your rental so nothing slips through the cracks.
5. Prepare for pickup
Save the host's instructions, pack any personal add-ons (goggles, roof racks, or footwear), and bring a government-issued ID. If your plans change, update the host right away so they can adjust availability for other riders.
