Trust and Safety on Ullor
Ullor is built for the outdoor community. We combine identity checks, messaging safeguards, and payment protections so that every exchange of gear is smooth and secure. Here is how we keep riders and hosts protected.
Verified people, verified gear
All hosts and riders complete email verification and multi-factor Stripe checks before they can transact. Hosts may request additional identification at pickup for high-value items like avalanche kits or e-bikes.
Gear listings include make, model, and maintenance notes. Hosts can attach tune logs so renters know when skis were last waxed or bikes were serviced.
Secure messaging and payments
Ullor chat is monitored for safety keywords to prevent off-platform payments. Keep all communication inside the app so your booking stays eligible for Ullor's protection policies.
- Payments run through Stripe Connect; we never store raw card data.
- Security deposits are authorized, not captured, until a claim is submitted.
- Hosts receive payouts 24 hours after gear is confirmed returned in good condition.
Accident and damage coverage
If something goes wrong, document the issue within 24 hours via the reservation detail page. Provide photos and a description so our support team can review. We coordinate between rider and host to determine a fair resolution that accounts for depreciation and repair quotes.
Many hosts add a maintenance add-on or require helmets for applicable sports. Respect the gear guidelines listed in the booking confirmation to stay covered.
Community guidelines
We expect everyone to:
- Show up on time and communicate delays quickly.
- Return equipment clean and ready for the next adventure.
- Use all required safety gear (helmets, PFDs, avalanche beacons).
- Report unsafe behavior or gear issues to support@ullor.com.
Violations may result in account holds or removal from the platform.
